Christina Aguilera axes US tour

London: Pop star Christina Aguilera has cancelled her entire North American tour to give her more time to rehearse for the concerts.

The `Beautiful` hitmaker was due to kick off her US trek in July, but now promoters have pushed back the dates until 2011, Contactmusic reported. Representatives from tour organisers Live Nation are citing Aguilera`s heavy work schedule for the move, saying that she needs more time to prepare. "The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour date this wasn`t possible," a spokesperson said. Refunds will be available from the point of purchase. PTI
