Los Angeles: Singer Usher plays Sugar Ray Leonard in the biopic ‘Hands of Stone’ and says he has given his best to the role despite having no background in acting.
‘Hands of Stone’ is a biopic of Panamanian boxer Robert Duran, who will be essayed by Gael Garcia. The film will also star Rober De Niro.
"I`ve seen Oscar winners come out of left field. I`m going into it, offering my interpretation and my hard work and my dedication to be the best Sugar Ray ever," a website has quoted the 33-year old as saying.
``Or as good as the man can be. I`ve spoken to him, and I don`t know if I`ll ever be able to live up to him. But I`ll try to be better than him.``
