Spice Girls reunite in London

London: Famous girl band Spice Girls have reunited in London to launch a musical based on their greatest hits.

Band members Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Brown reunited Tuesday for the first time since 2008, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

They met at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel to promote a new stage show, and posed for pictures on the staircase where they had shot the 1996 music video for their single track "Wannabe".

The girls shared their excitement on Twitter.

"Good morning London!! Song of the Day (is) Reunited (by) Peaches and Herb... Sunny day in London, so nice being home!!!" Beckham wrote.

Brown wrote: "Whoop whoop where my spice biatches at!!!... Lovin All spice fans always!"

While Halliwell tweeted, "Look back, realise how far you`ve come", Chisholm wrote: "Big Day!!!"

The new musical will have 18 songs when it opens at the West End`s Piccadilly Theatre in December. The band was formed in 1994.
