Oscar Awards 2013:Jennifer Lawrence avoids thinking about winning Oscar

Los Angeles: Jennifer Lawrence, who stands a chance to win the best actress Academy award for her work in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, doesn`t want to think about what it might be like to win the coveted prize.
The Oscar ceremony is to take place here Feb 24. The 22-year-old admits she would love to win, but she is trying to keep her excitement in check. "It`s very important to separate work from your personal life. If you don`t separate it, then it blends into your personal life. For my career - yes I hope, knock on wood - that I win, but I don`t have a personal interest in it," contactmusic.com quoted Lawrence as saying. "I am not going to cry myself to sleep if it doesn`t happen. I`m still going to be happy, I`m still going to be me, I`m still going to have my friends and I will be fine," she added. Nevertheless, she was pleasantly surprised upon getting nominated. It is her second nomination after she was once in the run for the award for ‘Winter`s Bone’ in 2011. She is also proud to be included in a list that also features talents like Jessica Chastain, Emmanuelle Riva, Quvenzhane Wallis and Naomi Watts. "It`s really exciting, but it never sinks in. I am so in the zone when I am working that when you hear it, you are like `Wow`. I know what an honour that is," she added. Lawrence has already clinched prizes for her portrayal of a sex addict in the offbeat comedy ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, including the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for best actress. IANS
