Eminem is too famous to date

Los Angeles: Rap superstar Eminem has said he doesn`t go out on dates because he is too famous and finds it difficult to trust people.

The `I`m Not Afraid` hitmaker, who has been single since splitting from Kimberley Scott, wants to be in a relationship but hardly meets new people in the celebrity circuit, reported Rolling Stone magazine. When asked if he dates, the 38-year-old said, "Not really. As far as going out, like dinner and a movie - I just can`t. Going out in public is just too crazy. I mean, I`d like to be in a relationship again someday. Who doesn`t? It`s just hard to meet new people, in my position." It isn`t just fame which prevents Eminem from finding love, the hip-hop star admitted he finds it difficult to trust new people. "I have trust issues. With women, friends, whatever. You always wonder what their real motives are. I`ve got a small circle of friends, and it`s a lot of the same friends I`ve known forever," said Eminem. The rapper has battled an addiction to prescription drugs in the past and says he is now focusing on keeping himself healthy. "Right now, that works for me. I came out of some difficult things these past couple of years. I kind of feel like I`m just now finding my footing. So I want to make sure that`s secure before I go out and do anything else. I need to keep working on myself for a while," he said. PTI
