Enrique Iglesias rubbishes Anna Kournikova marriage talks

London: Singer Enrique Iglesias has rubbished rumours that he has tied the knot with long time girlfriend Anna Kournikova.

The 36-year-old, who has been dating the tennis player for more than 10 years, had recently announced Kournikova as his wife at a concert in her native Russia, reported Showbizspy. However, the singer insists he didn`t mean to confuse fans at the gig, but got caught up with the moment. "It was just meant to be sweet... I honestly didn`t mean to confuse people. I thought it`d be easier for the audience to understand than if I said she was my girl. "I`ve never really thought marriage would make a difference. Maybe it`s because I come from divorced parents, but I don`t think you love someone more because of a piece of paper. And nowadays, it`s not taboo to have kids and not be married. What makes a difference is that you`re a good parent, period," Iglesias said. PTI
