Henry Cavill engaged to Ellen Whitaker

New York: ‘Superman’ actor Henry Cavill has got engaged to his girlfriend Ellen Whitaker, said his representative.

Cavill popped the question to Whitaker, an athlete, while they were visiting Hollywood. The actor has even sought permission from Whitaker`s father, reports a website. "I couldn`t believe it when he asked me to marry him. I thought we were there to celebrate his birthday. It was such a surprise and I am so happy," Whitaker told reporters. PTI
