Nikki Reed separates from husband

Los Angeles: `Twilight` star Nikki Reed has decided to separate from her husband Paul McDonald.

The 25-year-old actress, best known for playing Rosalie in the `Twilight` series, decided to end her marriage to McDonald, 29, due to work obligations, reported a magazine. "After much consideration, Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are ending their marriage. They have been living separately for the past six months due to work obligations," Reed`s representative said. The former couple`s joint music project, a debut album called `I`m Not Falling` will be releasing this year. They will apparently stay friends and work on the project together. "They will continue to share their love of music, and are still working on their debut album, I`m Not Falling, releasing in 2014. They remain best friends and look forward to their continued journey together," the representative added. Reed had met Paul, a singer-songwriter and former American Idol contestant, at the premiere of `Red Riding Hood` in March 2011. They got married on October 16, 2011.
