London: Belle de Jour hooker Brooke Magnanti’s father Paul has confessed that he paid for sex with more than 150 women.Brooke, the research scientist who confessed to being Belle de Jour, the 300 pound-an-hour call girl, broke off contact with her father after she discovered he was sleeping with prostitutes.
Paul, 60, said that his only daughter had been “hurt” when she found out he was using prostitutes after divorcing her mother more than a decade ago.
He also said that it was possible that his extensive use of prostitutes had been a factor in his daughter’s decision to become an escort girl years later.
He has admitted paying for sex with more than 150 women.
“I cannot say for certain until I speak to her, but it may have affected her. I guess she came to the realisation that prostitutes are just people, it’s not the stereotype that people often seem to think,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.
“They are people with good hearts who have had problems in their lives and have fallen down. Often because of a bad family life or bad relationships or suffering violence, they have low self-esteem,” he added.
Brooke’s the author of ‘The Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl’ which inspired the hit ITV series starring Billie Piper.
