Goa is one destination, which doesn't really need a particular season for travellers to plan their trip. The place in itself is a huge travel attraction. Not just is it famous for the beaches and sand, Goa does hold some great heritage value. There are several tourists spots in the state which must be explored by the travelers. We give out top five things which you should not miss when in Goa. Here take a look at what to do while chilling out in the party capital of the country:

Beaches

There are roughly about 21 beaches in North and South Goa. The beaches cover about 125 kilometres of its coastline, reportedly. India's smallest state by area—Goa has some of the best beach sites in the country. The state which is easily divided into North and South has varied beach spots in both the parts. While you will find easy and cheap accommodation in North side of the state, the South is all about luxury and private beaches. North Goa has Anjuna, Arambol, Baga, Bambolim, Calangute, Candolim, Chapora, Dona Paula, Miramar, Morjim, Sinquerim, Vagator beaches and on the South you will find Agonda, Benaulim, Bogmalo, Canaguinim, Cavelossim, Colva, Majorda, Mobor, Palolem beaches.

Sight-seeing

The beautiful architecture of Goa can be best explored when you are on you tows. Well, when in Goa, try sparing some time off and trend on a city walk with your bunch of friends. The Panjim city will startle you with its clean and well planned building and market area. Margao city exhibits Portuguese influence—and you can feel it too. You must visit Fort Tiracol, the seventeenth-century Portuguese Fort Aguada, and Chapora Fort. Another major tourist attraction in Panjim city is the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, which is beautifully situated in Panaji. Many Bollywood movies have even shot near the church, making it even more popular tourist spot. 

Club-hopping

Who would not want to party and let loose when in Goa! Well, the place has many party clubs where you can head to. However, don't forget that although Goa is a 12-month bets deal to visit, but the state does have a boon period of tourists flocking in from October-March. The famous club Cubana in Goa remains open from October-April (subject to change). However, other night-spots where must head for great music and food are 'Love Passion Karma' (LPK), Mambos, Titos, Sinq etc. You can even be at one place for sometime and then go club-hopping to another one. Also, don't miss to visit the casinos in Goa—great place for people visiting the place for the first time.

Shopping

The junk stuff in Goa is great. You will find several stalls and small shops which have a stock of colourful t-shirts and shorts hanging outside. The clothes that you find there are mostly in tune with the beaches in the state. Almost all types of swimming costumes are available in Goa. So, don't panic if you forgot to pack yours while planning the trip. Girls will love the colourful treat on roads.

Shacks galore

Goa is known for great food. There are several small shacks found on the beaches, which get doubled in numbers when you go in the later half of the year (boon time). However, that doesn't mean Goa has any less options in the first half of the year. If you are staying near Candolim beach, the place where you can head in Bob's Inn—it offers great food and dining options. The place that typical Goan feel and is kept simple. The staple 'fish and chips' must be tried in every possible shack and eatery, and the taste would definitely be different. Besides, you must visit Brittos at Baga beach for best food and drinks. There are multiple options in Goa as far as trying out on food is considered. Fisherman's Cove too is great option.
