Delhi: The second segment of the third day of the ongoing Wills India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 saw ample presence of white, light shades of blue, green and the like on the ramp. Along with Manish Gupta, designers Divyam Mehta and Gaurav & Ritika also presented their creations at the show. Gaurav & Ritika`s Spring Summer 2013 collection, titled `Ebb and Flow`, sought inspiration from the eponymous natural phenomenon, and each creation swept people off their seats. The visual drama in ripples, twirls, erosions and patterns created by the ebb and flow of tides saw a unique presentation. The garments portrayed a perfect balance between the sensual and the modernist feels, giving rise to an exquisite display. From within the ebb and flow of the tides on the ramp, emerged the signature style of the designers Gaurav & Ritika. Designer Divyam Mehta launched his `Spring Creek`, a collection that had in it woven, a perfect harmony between exquisite fabrics, drape, pattern and form. The construction, craft and tailoring was nothing short of elegant. The splash of ethereal whites, natural beige and two tone rosewood called for much admiration for the creations. Divyam Mehta`s style is one that is touted to impeccably fuse contemporary silhouettes and fine detailing with the many crafts and traditions of India. And the current collection, too, upholds that same aspect of Mehta`s work. Manish Gupta, who has already made a name for himself in the contemporary fashion fraternity of the country, entertained the on-lookers with his Spring Summer 2013 collection on the third day of the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013. His creations are flowery ones, and are aptly titled `Primrose`. The first blossoms of spring, `Primrose`, are ones which usher in the season of mirth and joy. Gupta`s work brought a whiff of freshness through floral motifs and elaborate use of 3 dimensional tapestries. The experiment and play of exquisite textures an embroidery is very much in sync with the current trends, and the usage of appliques, laces, tapes, beads, sequins and organza flowers - all gave rise to a riot of pastel colours on the ramp. Designers Manish Gupta, Gaurav & Ritika and Divyam Mehta presented a commendable show of whites, beiges, and other pleasant pastel colours. Each of the designers` collections left people speechless. Day 3 of Wills India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013, that started off to a shower of brilliance, is only getting better with time... Stay hooked on for more on the event!
