Liverpool still do not know how long Alberto Moreno will be out a week after the left-back injured tendons in his ankle and the team picked up a few more knocks in the Merseyside derby, manager Juergen Klopp said on Tuesday.

Moreno is ruled out of Wednesday`s home game against West Bromwich Albion, while midfielder Adam Lallana is still working his up to match fitness and centre back Joel Matip is running again after suffering an adductor issue.

"He`s not ready for sure. No chance," Klopp told a news conference in reference to Moreno, who was injured against Spartak Moscow in the Champions League last week.

"We make a further assessment in the moment. We send him to different doctors just to know a little bit more.

"But it`s still possible that it`s not that long and it`s possible I don`t know until six weeks. We have to see. It`s really not decided so far.

"There`s nothing serious (in terms of injuries) after the last game, serious in the sense of long-term, but one or two it`s possible that time will not be enough for the West Brom game now. We will have to see how it is after games like this."

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton and Klopp expects midweek opponents West Brom to adopt a defensive approach similar to the one their Merseyside rivals used to snatch a point in Sunday`s derby.

"I think we know what (West Brom boss) Alan Pardew said when he came in, that he wants to play offensive football and stuff like this but it`s the situation for West Brom... you cannot change things overnight.

"They did the squad in the summer and it`s for a specific kind of football. So it`s still long balls, of course, still set pieces, I`m not here to judge anything but you only can judge after much more time.

"They need points, they are not in a comfortable situation. It`s not a worrying situation... Last game they played with all three strikers against Swansea (City). I don`t expect that."

West Brom are 17th after being beaten by fellow strugglers Swansea in their last match, while third-placed Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 10 games in all competitions.
