VIP 2 Actor Dhanush all set to make Hollywood debut with 'The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir' –View poster

New Delhi:After earning a name for himself in Hindi cinema with 'Ranjhanaa' and 'Shamitabh', Tamil actor Dhanush is all set to make his Hollywood debut with The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir. The teaser poster of the film has been unveiled and the movie is slated for release in Summer of 2018.

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the poster of the film. He wrote- “Dhanush’s first international film... Teaser posters of #TheExtraordinaryJourneyOfTheFakir for India and France... Will release in India in English, Hindi and Tamil.”

Talking about the film, Dhanush had earlier told IANS- “Irrespective of the industry I work in, I'm constantly learning from the people I work with. If Bollywood taught me a lot about production, Hollywood has been a revelation in terms of understanding filmmaking better,"

"It's God's grace that I landed this offer. Although I have been offered three Hollywood projects, the script of this one really convinced me to sign it. It's a very strong role. I play a character called Ajatashatru, a street magician," he added.

Based on a bestseller book "The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe", the film is an English-French comedy-drama directed by Ken Scott.
