Ferozepur: BJP leader Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said the choice before voters for the post of Chief Minister
in Punjab is between seasoned and trusted Parkash Singh Badal
who is revered for his diligence and a belligerent state
Congress party chief Amarinder Singh.
"On the one hand, you have seasoned and experienced
Chief Minister in Badal. On the other, you have belligerent
Amarinder Singh who is using volatile language (against
opponents)," he told an election rally here.
Badal is revered for his diligence across the country,
the former BJP president said.
Striking an emotional chord with voters, he said the
illustrious people of Punjab are famous all over the world for
their bravery and hard work.
"If Punjab falls behind, it will shake India`s
foundation," he said.
Advocating re-opening of Hussainiwala?Lahore border for

Indo-Pakistan war, the BJP leader said his party would
raise the issue in Parliament.
Listing achievements of the SAD-BJP regime, Rajnath
Singh made a special mention of the government`s efforts to
make Punjab power surplus.
Targeting the Congress, he said it was probably for the
first time that many Union ministers had been lodged in jail
on graft charges.
In this context, he referred to the 2G Spectrum,
Commonwealth Games and Adarsh Housing scams.
