Bopanna loses in Dutch ATP event qualifiers

Rohan Bopanna lost to Jamaican Dustin Brown in straight-sets.

New Delhi: Rohan Bopanna`s hopes of making
the main draw of the Unicef Open in s`Hertogenbosch,
Netherlands were punctured by a straight-set defeat at the
hands of Jamaican Dustin Brown.

The unseeded Indian Davis Cupper fought hard before
losing 4-6, 4-6 to his second seed rival in the second round of
the grass court qualifying event.

Bopanna had beaten Germany`s Peter Torebko 6-7(2), 6-2, 6-4
in the opening round of the euro 450,000 event, a build up
tournament for the Wimbledon.

Bopanna, who has been doing well in doubles of late, had
last week qualified for the singles main draw of the Gerry
Weber Open in Halle, Germany.

He had lost in the first round of the main event.
