Chouhan leads after Rd 1 in DLF Masters

Gurgaon: Om Prakash Chouhan of Mhow fired a sizzling five-under 67 to grab a one-stroke lead over rising star Gaganjeet Bhullar after the first round of the Aircel DLF Masters of the PGTI event here today.Bhullar carded a four-under 68 to lie second, while defending champion Jyoti Randhawa turned in one-under 71 to be lie tied 11th at DLF golf course here.

Ashok Kumar and Digvijay Singh were joined by Vivek Bhandari and Shankar Das in tied third place at three-under 69. Chouhan had a slow start to his campaign as he parred the first four holes and dropped a shot on the fifth but he soon turned the tide with four birdies over the next seven holes (sixth, ninth, 10th, 12th) to make a comeback and then signed off with birdies at the 16th and 18th hole.
