Margao: An exciting contest is on the card when defending champion Musli Power Churchill Bros face Dempo sport club in the seventh round of the ONGC I-League on Sunday at Nehru stadium, Fatorda, here.
With four of their regular players on injury list and Ranty Martins poor form, Dempo has played well as a team to remain unbeated on 12 points from six matches, two points about Musli Power Churchill Bros.
Dempo has a resourceful midfield and Chach Armando Colaco will be looking to Roberto Silva, claims Iawezence and Anthony Pereira to keep the attack going.Anwar Ali, who had the forte together in the absence of Mahesh Gawli, John Dias will be put to test on Sunday against the likes of Odafe Okolie.Churchil Bros coach Carloe Pareira admitted that Dempo is a strong side and mentally tough and are playing well as a team.
“We have to reall play to our potential to win and convert the half chances that come our way. We have beaten them in the Durand cup but that is post,” Pareira said.
