London: Woody Allen has slammed reports claiming Carla Bruni-Sarkozy was difficult to work with on the set of his latest film, ‘Midnight in Paris’.
Instead the director described the French First Lady as "very professional" and said that working with Bruni-Sarkozy was smooth and pleasant.
The former supermodelmodel was on set in July for a cameo appearance in his romantic comedy, which also stars Owen Wilson and Marion Cotillard.
The director dismissed rumours that she took more than 30 takes to film one scene with Wilson.
"I am appalled. I read these things and I could not believe my eyes,” the Telegraph quoted him as telling Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
"These are not exaggerations, but inventions from scratch. There is absolutely no truth," he added.
According to witnesses, Bruni-Sarkozy was forced to shoot so many times because she kept looking directly into the camera.
Allen said he was so pleased with her scenes that "every frame will appear in the film".
