Himachal writer selected for Katha award

Shimla, May 05: A noted writer from Shimla S R Harnot has been selected for Indu Sharma Katha Samman for his collection of short stories 'Darosh aur Anya Kahanian'.

Shimla, May 05: A noted writer from Shimla S R Harnot
has been selected for Indu Sharma Katha Samman for his
collection of short stories 'Darosh aur Anya Kahanian'.

The award would be presented to Harnot at a function in
London on July 26, Tajinder Singh, Secretary of Katha group
comprising Asian writers settled in the United Kingdom, said.

Born in chanavag, a small village in Himachal Pradesh,
Harnot has written a number of books like Panja, Akash Bel,
Peeth Par Pahaar (all collections of short stories), Himachal
Ke Mandir aur Unsay Juri Lok Kathaein, Yatra and Himachal at a
Glance.
