Jagtap loses to Khalifa in German Junior Squash c`ship

Aditya Jagtap`s late charge proved insufficient as the Indian suffered a straight sets defeat against Egypt`s Amr Khaled Khalifa in the semifinals of the German Junior Open Squash Championships in Germering.

defeat against Egypt`s Amr Khaled Khalifa in the semifinals of the German Junior Open Squash Championships in Germering. Third seed Jagtap, India`s lone challenge at the Super Series championship on the European Squash Federation junior circuit, lost 2-11, 2-11, 13-15 to his second seed opponent in 35 minutes yesterday. In the quarterfinal, Jagtap had to brought in all his experience on the court to get past fifth seed Egypt`s Zahed Sherien 10-12, 11-5, 8-11, 15-13, 11-2. In the final, Khalifa defeated top seed Germany`s Rudi Rohrmuller 11-9, 11-6, 9-11, 8-11, 11-3 to clinch the title. PTI
