Jakarta: Indian shuttler Ajay Jayaram advanced to the third round of the men`s qualifying event of the Indonesian Super Series badminton tournament on Tuesday.
Jayaram beat local player Arif Ramadhan 21-18 21-5 in the first round before defeating Joachim Persson of Denmark 24-22 21-16.Top Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal will open her campaign against Linda Zechiri of Bulgaria in women`s singles while Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa will take on the Dutch duo of Lotte Jonathans and Paulien van Dooremalen in women`s doubles.In men`s doubles, Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas will be up against English pair of Anthony Clark and Chris Langridge in the opening round.
