San Martin: Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh brought home a steady two-under 69 to be tied 24th after the opening round of the PGA Tour`s Frys.com Open here.
Jeev slotted three birdies against just one bogey to open creditably at the USD 5,000,000 event.
A 10th tee starter, Jeev played out a flawless back-nine picking up birdies on the 12th and 18th holes.
At the front-nine, he stumbled to a bogey on the first hole but made up for it with a birdie on the ninth hole.
American Rocco Mediate took the lead with a 64 in the opening round followed by Japan`s Ryuji Amada, who carded a six-under 65.
