New Delhi: Honey Baisoya of Delhi turned in a superb performance of one-under par 71 to grab the overall honours in the Delhi junior and sub-junior golf at the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort on Friday.
Baisoya, in Group B saw his 71 matched by playing partner Manu Gandas from Group A, but his overnight lead saw him through comfortably.
Baisoya, who played very consistent golf with rounds of 75, 75, 73 and 71 for a total of 294 he got 35 points towards the IGU Order of Merit, while Manu Gandas of DLF got 25.Manu totaled 298 but had the satisfaction of topping Group A. Yashas Chandra of Mysore who crumbled with a 80 was second in Group A at 300 and third overall for Group A and B. In Group A, Roshan Raj (74) was third at 310. Prakhar Asawa (78) was second in group B at 309, 15 shots behind Baisoya, while Piyush Sangwan ((78) was third at 310.
As Baisoya won the combined Group A and B title, Manu Gandas was second and Yashas finished third. The three played together in the lead group. Among Group C boys, Kartik Sharma (77) emerged winner at 317 and Karandeep Kochar (79) was second at 319 and Arjun Puri (83) was third at 327.
In Group D boys, Aadil Bedi (84-82-79) won the title at 245 with lead Karan Pratap Singh (84-86-78) second at 248. Harshjeet Sethi (90-88-81) was third at 259.
In Group D girls, Tanishka Kumar (92-94-89) won the title at 275 and Arshia Mahant (95-91-93) was second at 279.Earlier in the tournament Gurbani Singh won the Girls Group A title, while Vrishali Sinha and Amrita Anand won the Group B and C titles.
