Top seeds Harsh Mankad and Treat Conrad Huey sailed into the doubles quarter-finals of the ATP Challenger event in Savannah, USA after scoring an easy straight set win over Americans Lester Cook and Tim Smyczek.

The Indo-Filipino pair outplayed the local pair 6-1 6-4 in the opening round of the USD 50,000 clay court event. In another ATP Challenger event in Israel, US based Indian Prakash Amritraj will open his campaign against Nick Lindahl of Australia. If he manages to clear the first hurdle, his possible next round rival could be world number 67 and local favourite Dudi Sela, who has been given the top billing. Amritraj is also competing in the doubles event, where he has been seeded second along with Harel Levy of Israel. They are up against local pair of Dudi Sela and Saar Steele in the first round of the USD 1,00,000 hard court event. PTI
