Narain eyeing 2011 Indian Grand Prix

Coimbatore: India`s first formula-one driver Narain Karthikeyan on Monday expressed his desire to participate

in the inaugural 2011 Indian Grand Prix `if he gets a good team.` It would be nice to participate in the Grand Prix, provided he got a good team, he said replying to felicitations by local chapters of CII and Young Indians on being conferred Padmashree. Tracing his journey from Formula-four to Formula one races, the Coimbatore-born Karthikeyan, who drove for Jordan in 2005, said "I have still many milestones to reach and records to be set. My ambition to succeed is as strong as the day I started my carrier." On being awarded Padmashree, 33-year old racer said he was honoured and humbled to receive the award. It was for the first time that government has recognised the motorsport. "It is a proud moment not only for me, but the entire motorsport," he said. PTI
