Osmanabad: A seven-year-old girl from the Bhoom tehsil of Osmanabad, Vaishnavi Repal has made it to the Limca Book of Records in Limbo Skating when she passed below 84 Sumo vehicles in only 54 seconds.
Earlier this record was registered in the name of Aniketh Chandak of Belgaon who had passed below 82 Sumo in 57 seconds. Vaishnavi comes from a poor family and her father works as a labourer in a private ice factory. She trained at the R R Patil sports academy in Satara. “I really feel excited after making this record. After achieving this feat, I wish to make a new record in reverse Limbo skating,” Vaishnvai told reporters. Her father Viay Repal said, “Now that the skating is included in Olympics, she would be practising hard for entering the biggest competition.” Given that Vaishnavi’s financial condition is weak, Mumbai-based Dhanshree Group will help her develop her game, Chairman of the group Shankar Borkar said.
