Portsmouth sign Vanden Borre on loan from Genoa

London: Portsmouth have signed Belgium international Anthony Vanden Borre on a season-long loan from Serie A side Genoa, the Premier League club said on Thursday.

"He`s a young Belgian international who`s threatened to do so much for quite a while -- now`s the time for him to come up with the goods," Portsmouth manager Paul Hart told the club`s website.The 21-year-old former Anderlecht and Fiorentina player, who can operate in defence and midfield, joins the English club subject to international clearance.
