Rai`s goal does the trick for Nabil Three Star

Gangtok: Raju Rai`s extra-time strike helped former champions Nabil Three Star [Nepal] register a 1-0 win over Pune F C in the 32nd All India Governor`s Gold Cup Football Tournament here on Monday.

In an evenly contested match, both teams had their chances but lack of finishing did them in. Nabil Three Star came close to scoring in the second half when a beautiful cross from one of their forwards was footed by another man up front but his shot hit the framework.After a barren first half, both teams tried their best to find the net in the second, but without any success. Rai finally broke the deadlock in the 21st minute of extra time. PTI
