Playing in their second Grand Prix final in two weeks, the top seeded Indian pair survived a scare from fourth seed Japanese duo of Hirokatsu Hashimoto and Noriyasu Hirata before outlasting them 21-16, 15-21, 21-13 in a 53-minute battle.Rupesh and Thomas had reached the final of the Australian Open Grand Prix last week in Melbourne.
