`This year`s been very patchy`, admits Murray

London: British tennis ace Andy Murray, who was knocked out of the fourth round of the French Open on Saturday, has admitted that his form has been `patchy`.

Murray, a quarterfinalist at Roland Garros last year, was hammered in straight-sets 6-4, 7-5, 6-3 by Czech Tomas Berdych. "This year`s been very patchy. There have been two Slams. One was very good, as I reached the final of the Australian Open," The Sun quoted Murray, as saying. "I guess my form coming into this tournament [French Open] wasn`t going to suggest I was going to win the French, but I played a lot better and I`m happy with that. I`ve got my hunger back," he added. The 23-year-old is back in London, and now heads to the grass courts of Queen`s Club next week to defend his title before Wimbledon. "I`ve got to get over the defeat quickly because it`s an important few weeks for me. Queen`s and Wimbledon are coming up and I need all of my energy focused," Murray said."It`s a pretty stressful period so I`d better get over it quickly or I`m not going to do well. I think I have a chance at Wimbledon. I just need to play my best. I`ll spend a lot of hours on the practice court making sure my game is as good as it can be," he added. ANI
