Good news for 2G, 3G users! This company to bring free voice call, cheaper data package

Here are some of the plans that BSNL will bring to counter Reliance Jio.

New Delhi: Unlike Jio's offer that is available for only 4G subscribers, BSNL is planning to bring free voice calls and cheaper data package for its 2G and 3G users.

BSNL chairman and managing director Anupam Shrivastava told Times of India that the company is “closely observing” the market “as well as Jio's performance”.

Here are some of the plans being contemplated by BSNL

Free voice calls to all BSNL users inclusing 2G and 3G.

Lifetime free-voice-tariff plans from January at Rs 2-4 cheaper than Jio's offering. Jio's entry price is Rs 149.

BSNL mobile customers having broadband connection at home can also avail this offer.

BSNL users can use home broadband to route outgoing mobile calls through the landline network.
