BJP, Congress spar over Lalitgate, Vyapam scam; Parliament stalled

New Delhi: A united Opposition continued to protest against the NDA government and pressed for a debate on the controversial Lalitgate and the Vyapam scam issues even as the Centre appealed it to allow Parliament to function minutes after the two Houses met on Monday. Importantly, twenty-five Congress MPs, who were suspended by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan last week for ''willfully'' obstructing the proceedings in the Lower House, also returned to Parliament after their five-day ban ended today.
