New Delhi: Snapping their three-day falling streak markets ended in green on Friday with Sensex posting over 1 percent jump and Nifty gaining by 0.87 percent.

The BSE Sensex zoomed 361.12 points to close at 35,673.25 while the NSE Nifty jumped 92.55 points to 10,693.70.

Top gainers in the Sensex pack were Adani Ports, Bajaj Auto, Infosys, Asian Paints, Maruti, HUL, L&T, M&M, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries, rising up to 3 percent.
Top losers were Sun Pharma, Coal India, Yes Bank, PowerGrid and NTPC, sliding up to 2 percent.

Kotak Mahindra shares closed 8.8 percent higher, after surging as much as 14 percent intraday gain in nearly nine years following reports that Warren Buffett`s Berkshire Hathaway Inc might take a stake in the private-sector lender.

Meanwhile, on a net basis, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth Rs 72.47 crore Thursday, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 389.78 crore, provisional data available with BSE showed.
