Ed Sheeran deletes Twitter account

Los Angeles: Singer Ed Sheeran has deleted his Twitter account a day after making his cameo on "Game of Thrones". The 26-year-old singer's brief appearance on the HBO's popular TV series received a mixed response, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sheeran did not provide any kind of explanation to fans. The "Thinking Out Loud" singer, however, is still there on Instagram. The singer earlier said that he has decided not to be active on the microblogging website as the platform is mostly used to humiliate others.

"I've actually come off Twitter completely. I can't read it. I got on it and there's nothing but people saying mean things. Twitters a platform for that. One comment ruins your day. But that's why I've come off it," Sheeran had said at the time.
