Patna: The JD(U) today took exception to a host of Central ministers visiting Bihar ahead of the assembly polls just to make "baseless allegations" against the NDA government and described them as akin to the "Siberian birds" which migrate from one place to other in search of food.

A number of Central ministers have visited the state recently with a brief to expose the NDA government's performance and many more were expected to do the same in future so as to boost electoral prospects of the Congress, the state unit JD(U) President Vijay Kumar Chaudhary told reporters here.

"The behaviour of the Central ministers tantamounted to that of the Siberian birds which migrate from one place to other round-the-year for food," he said.

None of the visiting central ministers have come up with Bihar-specific packages from their respective ministries nor any of them had concrete suggestions for additional measures for development, the state unit JD(U) Chief said.

If the central ministers have no no packages to offer to Bihar, then what else did they have to show for their sudden affection for Bihar and its people at the time that the assembly polls were round the corner, he said.

"Why did these Central ministers did not not visit the state earlier?" Chaudhary asked.
