Survey and documentation of land soon in Bihar

A bill to carry out survey of land and its computerised documentation would be brought soon in Bihar to redress land disputes, CM Nitish Kumar said.

Patna: A bill to carry out survey of land and
its computerised documentation would be brought soon in Bihar
to redress land disputes, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said
on Friday.
"We have decided to bring a bill for using the high-tech
equipment for carrying survey of land, computerisation of the
data and documentation of land papers," he told reporters
after releasing the report card of his government.

Stating that the exercise of surveying land would be
completed in next three years of the enactment of the
legislation, Chief Minister said, "Earlier it used to take
years for completing survey of land in Bihar."
"The draft of the bill is being prepared. It is necessary
to boost agricultural production as the population of the
state has gone up to more than ten crore now," he said.

Enumerating the achievements of his government, Kumar
claimed that the state had made significance progress in the
field of health, education, infrastructure and social welfare,
besides strengthening PDS.
