Modi blinks: Pleads for time, won`t move court against BCCI

Mumbai: Embattled IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi on Friday urged the BCCI to give him just five days to prepare answer for all the questions in lieu of his five year long services and he is unlikely to move court against IPL's governing council meet on April 26.

"I have worked for you for five years... Give me just five days to prepare answers to all the questions," Modi communicated to BCCI, sources close to him said.

At the same time, they said that Modi is not going to Courts to challenge the governing council meeting on April 26 and he is just requesting for more time.

Modi had earlier questioned the authority of BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan to convene the IPL Governing Council meeting in the midst of the raging controversy over team ownerships and allegations of money laundering and betting.

Modi is believed to have argued that the IPL final would be played on April 25 and hence he would not have time to prepare for the Governing Council meeting the next day.

"I need to prepare the documents to support my replies to all the questions... I have worked for you (BCCI) for five long years with taking any money... consider giving me just five days for the documents," his communication said according to sources.

The BCCI had made it clear that it would go ahead with the meeting on Monday, saying that Srinivasan was empowered to convene the meeting.

If Modi skips the meeting, The Governing Council meeting is expected to pass a resolution to oust him from the post of IPL Commissioner and Chairman.

BCCI is a conglomerrate of Cheats of India-the politicians. None of its memebrs barring few holds any credibility. What Modi is asking for is not exceptional, but a reasonable time for preparation in line with the principles of equity and natural justice. These Board Memebrs have milked the people of this country thru IPL and trying to position themeselves on moral high grounds by proposing some action against the Commissioner, while they were neck deep into all the corrupt practices.Some body is eyeing for a position held by Modi, by making him a sacrificial goat.These are the people, who supprressed ICL by all resources at their command, political and non political, thereby denting the cause of cricket. It is high time that monopoly of BCCI be broken for cricket good. Le their be more bodies to promote and develop cricket in India and with one natioanl selectiing team.It is high time ICL restart reorganising and start its efforts a fresh.

Why don`t you say ``I have been making money by any means for 5 years, now give me 5 days to settle down the whole mess!``
If you are so clean and honest then why do you need `time` to answer questions? An honest would never ask for time, he would always be ready with the answers!
There is something fishy with the case of Lalit Modi!
