New Delhi: The date for swearing-in has been set after much deliberation and Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on Wednesday declared that Arvind Kejriwal will be sworn in as Delhi`s seventh chief minister on December 28 at Ramila Maidan. Earlier today while talking to reporters, the AAP chief mentioned that he will personally invite his mentor Anna Hazare and other Team Anna members once the Jung finalises the swearing-in date. The members of Team Anna, Kiran Bedi, Santosh Hegde and Anna himself, who were once united with Kejriwal during the Jan Lokpal Bill agitation at Ramila Maidan stood divided during the campaigning of the newly formed party for the Delhi Assembly polls. Kejriwal and Anna parted ways after their successful protest which forced the government to give a written assurance to Anna of passing the ombudsman bill with three key demands put forth by him. However, Anna expressed happiness over AAP`s stunning performance in the polls but Bedi was sceptical about the government formation in Delhi by APP with Congress` outside support and had said that she is not sure if this minority government will last. President Pranab Mukherjee cleared the deck for Aam Aadmi Party to form a minority government in the national capital with the backing of Congress. Pranab also approved six AAP ministers - Manish Sisodia, Somnath Bharti, Satyendra Kumar Jain, Rakhi Birla, Girish Soni and Saurabh Bhardwaj - to be sworn in besides Kejriwal. AAP bagged 28 seats and the president has asked Kejriwal to prove his majority on the floor of the house within seven days from the date on which he takes oath of office, a statement from the Delhi secretariat said.
