Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and others for alleged large-scale corruption during the 2010 Commonwealth Games has been sent to CBI which is already probing the matters related to the mega-sporting event.

The police were responding to a complaint filed by RTI activist Vivek Garg against Dikshit, PWD Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan and former disgraced CWG OC Chairman Suresh Kalmadi for alleged corruption in CWG-related projects.

The court had earlier also asked the police to file a query-wise reply on whether any cognizable offence was found in the complaint and if any action was taken in this regard.

The police had then in its status report said the "complaints by the complainant are related to irregularities and corruption by the various functionaries tasked with the job of executing/approving various projects linked to CWG.

"As the matters related to CWG are already being investigated by CBI, all the complaints have been sent to CBI as the subject matter and allegatons in the present complaints are also related to CWG."

In his complaint before the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Garg claimed "Diskhit, Chauhan, Kalmadi and other top politicians, officials of the Delhi government and the Centre and their nexus of corrupt businessmen connived with each other to cause wrongful loss to the public exchequer and wrongful gain to themselves or persons whom they were interested in."

The news is very much evasive. Whatever the headline tells has no connection with the news inside, rather the the reply of the police is completely vague and has no mention of dixit who is a prominent accused in this national loot which brought so much disgrace to the nation. This is not a news but a farce.
