Police driver killed in accident in Kashmir

Srinagar: A police driver today died in an accident after he lost control over his vehicle following stone pelting by some men at Palhalan in north Kashmir`s Baramulla district, police said.

The deceased Kanwal Nain Singh lost control over the bus when miscreant pelted stones at it at Palhalan, 35 kms from here, a police spokesman said. The accident took place when he was on his way back after offering prayers on the occasion of Eid. Police has registered a case and started investigations into the incident, he added.
