Domestic violence case: Somnath Bharti sent to one-day judicial custody
A Delhi Court on Sunday sent Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP) legislator Somnath Bharti, who has been accused of domestic violence and attempt to murder by his wife Lipika Mitra, to one-day judicial custody.

New Delhi: A Delhi Court on Sunday sent Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP) legislator Somnath Bharti, who has been accused of domestic violence and attempt to murder by his wife Lipika Mitra, to one-day judicial custody.
The Delhi Police had sought Bharti's judicial custody for 14 days.
Bharti's lawyer, however, urged the court to send him to one day judicial custody, while also requesting that the jail authorities be directed to take him to the Supreme Court for the hearing on Monday.
Bharti, who was brought back to the national capital by the Delhi Police on Saturday, has so far rubbished all the allegations levelled against him.
