New Delhi: A day after BJP moved the Election Commission against the UPA`s direct cash transfer scheme, NDA constituent Janata Party today threatened to approach court terming the scheme as "unconstitutional." Addressing party convention, its chief Subramanian Swamy said the whole issue smells of another scandal and it is something one should oppose. "This is an unconstitutional measure. Since BJP has said they are going to take it up in Parliament, I will wait. But if there is no resolution, I will go to court on the matter," he said. The UPA government has come up with a policy decision to offer the direct cash transfer scheme for subsidies and entitlements based on the Aadhar cards scheme. Swamy also said his party is planning to field candidates in the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled next year. On Arvind Kejriwal`s Aam Admi Party, he said, "Unlike other parties, his party acts on the issue of corruption while others only say they would." PTI
