Australia defeated Sri Lanka in Hobart ODI by 32 runs.

Australia have clinched the fifth and final ODI in Hobart by 32 runs. Malinga was the last wicket to fall after being caught at third man by Johnson off McKay. He scored 2 (5b). With this win they have drawn level in the series. The five-match series has ended 2-2. Sri Lanka were off to a good start with their opening pair adding 57 runs for the first wicket. However, they lost five wickets in the space of 51 runs that derailed their chase. Angelo Mathews struck a fine half century and was involved in two crucial stands of 31 (with Perera) and 79 (with Mendis).
