New Delhi, Nov 06: Sanjay Dutt is likely to face tough challenge from British secret agent James Bond for the top actor slot as films involving the two will hit screens across the country on Friday much to the delight of movie buffs.
Cinegoers could not have asked for more as Daniel Craig-starrer "Quantum of Solace" will vie with "EMI", featuring Sanjay Dutt as recovery agent Sattarbhai. Dutt fans are waiting with bated breath of seeing their hero in a new avatar after the huge success of the `Munnabhai` series.
Rajshree Productions` "Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi", starring Isha Koppikar and Sonu Sood, is also in the fray. "Bond is definitely going to give tough competition to other films that are releasing with it. We hope to collect Rs 14-15 crore in the very first week of its release," said Kercy Daruwala, MD of Sony Pictures, which is releasing the film in India.
"The film will be released with over 560 prints. Releasing it in India before its US release is a great achievement for us," Daruwala told PTI. A sequel to the last bond flick "Casino Royale", "Quantum of Solace", will see Daniel Craig returning to his latest mission and picking up threads from his last adventure to begin a new journey as the elusive agent 007.
In the film, betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, and determined to uncover the truth behind this betrayal, James Bond is ready to fight a personal battle. A case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille (Olga Kurylenko), a woman seeking her own vendetta.
