23 journalists get Matri Shree media awards

Twenty-three journalists from print and electronic media were today conferred the Matri Shree awards for their contribution to the field of media.

New Delhi: Twenty-three journalists from print and electronic media were today conferred the Matri Shree awards for their contribution to the field of media.

Members of Parliament Ramesh Bidhuri and Manoj Tiwari conferred the awards at a function here today.

Sanjay Anand, Shahbaz Khan and Ajay Srivastava from the Press Trust of India are among the 23 journalists who were awarded the 40th Matri Shree Award.

Among journalists who received the award include Shahnawaj Malik of Navbharat Times, Anrurag Mishra of Dainik Hindustan, Nemish Hemant of Dainik Jagaran and Pawan Kumar of Amar Ujala.

Punjab Kesari's Aditya Narayan and Rashtiya Sahara's Ajay Nethani and Kapil Sharma of Aaj Tak channel are also among those who were given the award.
