Indo-Pak talks: From Kashmir to cricket, what all to expect from Sushma-Nawaz meet

In a bid to improve Indo-Pak relations, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will hold a meet with Prime Minister Sharif and his Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Wednesday on the margins of what is called the 5th Ministerial Conference on Heart of Asia Istanbul Process.

Here is all what may be discussed in the meeting:-

Kashmir issue - Following an impromptu meeting between Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif in Paris on the margins of a global climate change conference on November 30, Sushma Swaraj is likely to take up one of the most important issues i.e. Kashmir.

Indo-Pak cricket series  - An announcement on India-Pakistan cricket series is likely to be made on Wednesday's Sushma Swaraj-Nawaz Sharif meet.

26/11 Mumbai terror attacks - Incidentally, the hearing of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks will take place in a Lahore court on Wednesday. Hence, 26/11 attacks may also feature in their bilateal talks.

Ceasefire violation - Cross-border firing has claimed the lives of several Indian jawans in the past and this is one apt ocassion to take up the issue before Pakistan. Thus, the ceasefire violation issue is also likely to feature in the talks.

Terorism - India has continuously emphasised that terror to the nation from Pakistan soil must come to and end. A few days ago, reports had claimed that some LeT terrorists have intrude into Indian territory to carry out a big attack in New Delhi targeting PM Narendra Modi.

The Sushma Swaraj-Nawaz Sharif meet is probably a result of an impromptu meeting between Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif and the national security advisers meet in Paris and Bangkok respectively.
