Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release digital copies of 100 files related to Netaji today.

Kolkata: Giving credit to the West Bengal government for beginning the process of declassifying the files pertaining to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Saturday said that the freedom fighter`s memory deserved the honour of getting closure.

"The first person to declassify any files was Mamata Banerjee`s West Bengal government and more files are being declassified today. But the bigger picture is that Netaji`s memory and deeds deserve the dignity of closure," TMC leader Derek O` Brien told ANI.

He expressed hope that in the next one year, before January 23 2017 all the files are declassified.

"Netaji deserves this, India deserves this," he added.
