Thiruvananthapuram: Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday took oath as 12th Chief Minister of Kerala.

Several top CPM leaders remained present during the oath taking ceremony.

The CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) won the state polls on Thursday by winning 91 seats in the 140-member Kerala Assembly.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at Central Stadium here.

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader had on Tuesday said that his government will have no place for influence peddling and graft.

The CPI-M led Left Democratic Front swept the May 16 Assembly polls, winning 91 seats in the 140-member Kerala Assembly, showing the door to Oommen Chandy`s Congress-led government that was in power since 2011.
