New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday mourned the death of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who passed away early this morning.
Writing on Twitter, PM Modi said, “In King Abdullah, we have lost an important voice who left a lasting impact on his country. I condole his demise.”
Our thoughts are with the people of Saudi Arabia, who have lost a guiding force in King Abdullah, during this hour of grief.

King Abdullah passed away at the age of 91 this morning. He was admitted to a hospital in December after being diagnosed with pneumonia.
He would be buried later in the day following afternoon prayers.
