J&K govt holds talk with agitating lawyers

Jammu and Kashmir government held a talk with agitating lawyers as their strike entered 14th consecutive day here on Saturday.

Jammu: Representatives of Jammu and Kashmir government held a talk with agitating lawyers as their strike against transfer of land registration work from judiciary to revenue department entered 14th consecutive day here on Saturday.
J&K Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather held a meeting
with lawyers led by Jammu Bar Association chief B S Salathia
and assured them that their grievances would be addressed,
officials said.
In the meeting it was decided that a committee comprising
representatives from both the Bar Council and the government
would be set up to continue dialogue on the issue, so that a
mutually acceptable solution aimed at providing a better
public delivery system is made available to the public.
